Changing the cake's diameter
Change the cake's diameter and every layer recalculates itself. A preview shows how the number of slices changes.
The cake planner is on the Plus plan.
A cake for 16 people, but a recipe for a 24 cm tin? Changing the diameter recalculates every layer at once.
Step by step
- Open the cake in the planner.
- Tap the line under the cake’s name with the diameter, slice count and height. Change diameter opens.
- Set the new diameter.
- Optionally change the Slice size — small or large slice (with the Baker+ add-on, your own sizes too).
- The preview shows the change, e.g. “24 cm → 26 cm” and “Slices: 16 → 19”, and below it how each layer changes.
- Tap Change to … cm.
What recalculates
- the amount of each recipe needed for its layer,
- inserts — their diameter depends on the distance from the edge,
- finishes — glaze and coating are worked out from the surface,
- the shopping list, when you add the cake To the list.
Layer heights
Layers set to keep their height stay the same height, and the recipe amount changes. Layers set to keep their recipe amount keep the amount, so their height changes. Set this by tapping the layer, under Keep.
A recipe without a tin size
If a layer says “Add the tin size to the recipe”, open that recipe and, in the Cake part, enter the diameter and height of the tin the recipe was written for. Without it Przepisnik doesn’t know how to scale it.
