The Home screen and how to tailor it

What the Home screen shows, how it knows what matters to you, and how to tailor it.

Home is the first screen after you sign in. It gathers what matters today in one place: what you’re cooking, what’s on the shopping list and what in the pantry is about to expire.

What’s on it

  • Today — meals from the plan for today and tomorrow, tomorrow’s lunchboxes, food to use up and things running low.
  • Cooking today — a recipe from your plan, a recipe you have everything for in the pantry, or the Recipe of the day.
  • Sections: This week, Shopping list, What can I cook?, Cakes, Cooked, household and Favourites.

An empty section doesn’t disappear — it invites you to act, for example “Plan your week” with an Open plan button. Sections from paid plans carry a Plus label and a See what you get button.

How Home tailors itself

The order of the sections depends on your answer to What brings you here?, asked the first time you open the app. You can pick several answers:

  • Cooking — everyday cooking from your own recipes,
  • Family planning — a weekly meal plan and the shopping,
  • Kids’ lunches — packed lunches for school and work,
  • Pantry & shopping — what’s at home and what to buy,
  • Baking — cakes and bakes.

If you didn’t answer this question when you first opened the app, Home shows a Tailor your dashboard card. Tap Tailor, tick what fits and Save. Not now hides the card.

Home works the same on your phone and in the browser.
