Custom units
Add your own measures — a glass, a pack, a handful — with a conversion to grams and millilitres.
Przepisnik knows the common units, but every kitchen has its own: “a glass”, “a block of butter”, “a pack”. You can add them and say how much they weigh or hold.
Where to find it
- On the phone: More → Units (in the Data section).
- In the browser: Settings → Units.
A new unit
- Choose Add unit.
- Enter a Unit name, e.g. “Glass”.
- Fill in Equivalent in grams and/or Equivalent in millilitres, e.g. 250.
- Tick Measures volume if it’s a volume measure — a glass, a spoon, a cup. The weight is then taken from the ingredient’s density: a glass of flour is about 132 g, not 250 g.
- Save.
The conversion is used when scaling portions and on the shopping list.
Editing and deleting
Tap a unit to change it. Units marked System are built in — “Default units can’t be edited”. Delete your own unit with Delete.
Straight from the form
You don’t have to start in settings. When you type a unit Przepisnik doesn’t know into an ingredient, a question with an Add unit button appears under it — you enter the name and How many grams?, and the unit goes straight into your list.
